I understand why Ari would like this but how could STL have 8 mil in OEL, resign Pietro for more and resign Dunn for a decent number?

Well, if arizona takes bozak that would end up freeing up cap space. With Allen gone now, they could still afford to resign Petro. But I don't know about Dunn. It would depend on other factors. If they made this move it would free them up to use his rights in another deal

With Allen gone they could just sign Pietro and work from a position of strength. OEL would hurt that.

Yeah. Purely from a player standpoint I would rather keep Parayko. I guess I'm just trying to think ahead for when parayko's contract comes up in 2 years. Even if they have the cap space somehow, he would demand at least the 8.25. and he might want to go elsewhere so he can finally get out of Petros shadow as the #1 rhd. OEL is a lefty, which is a big factor in this.
