Finnish Prospects change of scenery

Created by: TrueNorth
Team: 2020-21 Winnipeg Jets
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 3, 2020
Published: Sep. 3, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I think this team would be a difficult match-up for opponents. Either Scheifele's or Lowry's line can go out against the opponent's top line. All 4 lines can score.

Finnish line has a ton of potential and reuniting Laine with Puljujarvi may reignite Jessi's potential.

Defense is improved but not as deep as some central division rivals. Jets would love to see one of Heinola, Samberg or Niku develop into a top 4 option sooner rather than later.

If Helly can maintain a Vezina caliber of play, this team should finish ahead of Chicago, Nashville and Minnesota again. Dallas isn't getting any younger and St. Louis will have to lose assets to resign Petrangelo. Colorado could be scary good with all of their cap space. I see this team beating out either or both St. Lou or Dallas to finish 2nd or 3rd in the Central.

Is this your way of sending Laine out of town?

That’s not a package that’s going to land jp. Oilers thank you for the offer but easily move forward without it.

I don't see the line of Laine, Haula and Puljujarvi getting less minutes than Ehlers-Little-Roslovic. I would hope the Jets could roll all four lines and reduce the risk of fatigue and injury. Probably should have shown that line as #2 on the depth chart. I actually hoped bringing Puljujarvi into the club would help Laine's commitment to the club.

Maybe you can keep holding out until someone gives you your fourth overall pick back. He was drafted over 4 years ago, has walked away from the club and didn't put up points playing with either McDavid or Draisaitl. Zach Kassian put up better numbers on those lines.

The scenery with the Oilers has changed significantly since Puljujarvi last played for Edmonton. There is a new management team, new coaching staff, 18 of the guys who were on the roster when he left are now gone, and that includes Lucic (so he doesn't have to worry about dragging that boat anchor around any more). In this new environment Kassian and Archibald are his competition for a spot in the top six, and the top-ranked 1st power play unit lacks a right handed shot up front. Surely he recognizes that the table is set for him to succeed and all he has to do is sign on the dotted line, show up at camp, and prove his doubters wrong.
