The deals seem realistic, but is Lindholm really the guy you want as your 1C? Trading Monahan leaves a pretty big gap in that spot.

The irony of a post calling the team unrealistic and having the only set of realistic trades seen on page 1 and 2 is truly special.

Personally I don't think the drop off between Monahan and Lindholm is huge, I think that this creates a more well rounded C group than previous years and spreads out Calgary's offense a little better. Monahan is a perfect 2C on a scoring line where he is set up to be a trigger man, not against the other teams best match ups all night. Lindholm can drive a line where Monahan can't without Gaudreau, I really think a line like this opens up Gaudreau more because as it stands when Johnny has the puck you or I could stand in the passing lane between him and Monahan the Flames get nothing going.

Tkachuk, Domi, Dube just makes me happy and would be hell to play against!

Did Petro say he wanted to stay away from Canada or just speculation? Also, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if this happens. That MTL trade is Marc Bergevin trade if I've ever seen one. It also seems like a BT trade.

Just my opinion really, I think if he comes to Canada it is TOR or MTL and you would have to assume Treliving is a little gun shy on UFA signings these days with a track record of Brouwer, Stone, Neal, Raymond. I get Petro is a night and day different player but that's not a good look!
