I agree with this. I also think that cap space would be more valuable used on LHD. I don't think Samberg/Niku will cut it as your #2 & 3 options on that side.

Idk, maybe Cirelli is worth that much, like I said I haven't watched him play that much.

I agree about Samberg and Niku, can probably run with one of them in the defense next season but not both, I really don't think Samberg is going to be any kind of savior for this patchy D core either.

For what? Pulock is a legit top pairing defenceman, he is not a scrub

Agreed he is
But Conner is 2 years younger and already locked up, was on over 40 goal pace this year and over ppg, and is far from reaching his ceiling, u see it how he plays

As for playing with Scheif, which top winger doesn’t play with a top center? Bad argument there

I like Connor but he's the softest player the Jets have, if it came down to one of Ehlers, Laine or Connor to be traded I'm trading Connor all day every day.

Laine would go first. He going to want $10 mil and he is not worth that. Ehlers and Connors contracts are great contracts

I happen to be a an Islander fan that appreciates Josh Bailey and hope he stays an Islander for life. Pulock is hard to move this off-season as the Islanders have no one they can replace him with. Mayfield, like him but not playing first pairing minutes. Boychuk cant stay healthy. Dobson is not at all ready, maybe in a year or two. The Islanders would have to get someone else to play in Pulocks place which means taking on more cap. Im just not sure how it would work. Just a unthought out trade, Maybe a Pulock and Eberle/Bailey for Ehlers and Pionk. I dont know.

With the success the Islanders are having in these playoffs, it's going to be hard to get someone important off of their roster.

Honestly, as an isles fan I wouldn't do it. It's tough to come across a #1 RD in this league. Isles's aren't struggling for goals at the moment.I know it's everyone's dream to finally get that top line winger to play with barzal, but the way the playoffs are going is there that big of need?

IMO pulock is too important to trade for connor. Sorry.

I understand I wouldn’t do it from your teams point of view either. It will be interesting to see how you guys clear cap space that’s for sure!

Yeah, it'll be a challenge. Fortunately, for guys like Pulock, we're OK with paying the money he deserves.

I'm hopeful a team will want Leddy or boychuk. Or both, that would solve everything.
