I don’t see how trading Loui gets done without the 2021 1st or Virtanen. Lind and Woo are decent prospects but not nearly enough to consider taking Loui’s deal

Looking to next season, you have 13 roster players with $28m to spend -- but Petterson, Hughes, and Demko are all needing new contracts. What do you think the contracts would look like for those 3 players? Petterson longterm at $10m, Hughes bridge at $6-7m, Demko getting the Binnington-bridge at around $4m if he keeps it up. That would leave only $6m to add 7 players. Difficult but doable I suppose, unless Hughes doesn't want the bridge deal.

Too many prospects dealt in this scenario. I understand dealing prospects is a must sometimes but the 2021 1st rounder to a contending team like the Canucks is useless. to rebuilding teams they are needed. so send the 1st and a mid level prospect to Ottawa to get rid of Eriksson's contract.
