Seems pretty reasonable. Fixing the C ice position without pulling from our top 6 to do it. I would switch Cozens and Kahun obviously but other than that, looks pretty good.

I really hope that Benning isn't stupid enough to trade for Risto...but we are paying 20 million dollars per season on replacement level players already, whats another 5.4?

Virtanen a forward, has 81 pts over the last 3 seasons while Ristolainen a defenseman has 117
Benn is a cap dump
So please tell me why Buffalo has to add a pick.
If this was for Miller who also has 81 over the last 3 seasons, I would say OK without the pick.
I would ask for a better pick with Virtanen and Benn if you wanted Montour who has 85 pts over the last three season.

Don’t pull cumulative seasons. It’s always about what have you done for me lately and even taking the pick out the deal is even. The Sabres get a 6th Dman with experience and not hurting the cap for Rasmus and Joki deals

OK, I get that cumulative seasons can skew the performance.
But I do that because Krueger is a terrible coach.
Miller, Montour, Hutton, Sheary, Rodrigues, Vesey, Okposo and of course Skinner ALL had career worse seasons.
Vesey, Johansson, Miller, Jokiharju and Montour for an entire season were added and yet Krueger still managed to lead the Sabres to a worse season than last year.
If we only look at last year, yup Miller, Montour, Vesey and especially Skinner are near worthless.
But if you look at their previous year, they are very valuable.
So yes, a 3 year cumulative is necessay.

Agree to disagree on that but time will tell
