Description
So, I don't love it, but could settle for this for 2021 season.

Strome is likely coming back, but I'll cross my fingers that it's for an arbitration awarded 1 yr deal.

Fast is also likely coming back just because the players and org love him (and he's great) but hopefully it's for below 3m and no more than 2yrs. Exceeding either of those numbers makes it a huge L for the teams future.

Deangelo gets signed 5 yr deal for reasonable $.

The OTT trade absolutely seems like a win-win to me. I think there are valuable assets for OTT to be happy to give up a 4th for. I think it actually leans quite a bit in OTT favor, but overpaid for the sake of OTT fans approval.

I really do not know what Siegenthaler is worth, but I like him and he's a very affordable, young, stay at home LD.

Insert any league minimum salary LHD to be scratched as 7th D and it barely squeaks in the cap, and hope we don't have too many bonus conditions hit this year.

I am praying that the org doesn't make a huge mistake and decide to buy out any one of Smith, Staal, Lundqvist, as it would be a huge mistake. They need to practice the "patience" they've been preaching and hold out for one more year to let the contracts, and already poorly executed buyouts fall off before they invest anymore into the team's future (which should be cup contention between '23-'28.

Where is Georgiev...whether on the roster or in a trade? Fast is going to sign for me than that based on his (agents) $4M asking price. Who is 7th D?

Whoops, Georgiev trade got overlooked. He's gone to DET for 2nd 2021 + 3rd 2020.

As stated up top, 7th D is whatever random D/vet you can get to sign for league minimum.

Fast's (agent's) asking price is horse ****, but I could see him getting 3-3.25m in FA. If he wants to stay a Ranger, 2.5m is the number for me.

we dont want howden, just give us a future third with smith and sure, but taking back Gaborik also does nothing for us because hes on LTIR and Eugene doesn't pay him anyways.

Is the LTIR payouts an insurance thing then? I thought owner was still on the hook for at least some of it.

I have no problem with a '21 3rd+Smith for a '21 6th exchange.
BadTradePolice and PLDGEY liked this.

ya I'm pretty sure its almost all insurance, I mean we can throw him in but it doesn't really mean much. But yeah we already have a ton of bottom 6 centers, howden is the last thing we need would rather just the third.

Yeah 3rd + Smith for 6th seems to be the consensus value
