rangers unrealistic but maybe

Description
The most unrealistic step is obviously the Barzal OS. Overpaying on Barzal puts NYI in a really tough spot where they may not be able to match, but they would obviously do their best. It's a very unrealistic OS from a professional standpoint but you never know. Another OS option would be Cirelli maybe around a 4 or 5x5.5ish, but more likely through a trade for him. Bringing in Cirelli is definitely more realistic and probably means no Kreider trade right after he signs an extension.

The Trouba trade isn't likely after only a year and with that salary, but Anaheim could be a great fit if they move Manson or someone else. Trouba is still young and could be a big part of that defense as Anaheim's prospects start to come up.

The Georgiev trade works with a bunch of teams, preferably just Georgie straight up for some thirds or maybe a second.

The Kreider trade is obviously a weird one because of the extension, but he's a perfect second liner for the Avs. Colorado does have the space to pull off a move like this and sending Nichushkin back means one less RFA to sign. Nichushkin is obviously highly-valued on here so I added the Rangers 3rd. The return could include Jost instead of him but I would take out the Rangers pick.

Strome to the Jets for the second could work. I believe Strome would still be a nice 2C on a similar team to the Rangers, passing to Ehlers and Laine.

Bringing back Tony D on a two year deal, hopefully by the end he can be dealt and Lundqvist can take his spot. Lemieux comes back comfortably as a 4th liner. Fast gets a pretty cheap one year deal but could work because he wouldn't be likely to get a big contract elsewhere with the flat cap, and I assume he would want to stay. He would probably walk the year after with Kravstov coming up, or may go at the deadline this year if Kravtsov is ready, which he probably will be. Nichushkin gets a two year deal to rotate within the top 9 as the younger guys get better, then make a decision. Dillon comes in to hopefully bail Tony out a few times a game and put traffic cone Staal on the bench. Bogosian gets a year to play with one of Miller/Hajek/Reunanen hopefully. Rangers also get nearly 20 mil off the books next year from Smith, Staal, and Lundqvist alone to help extend the young guys.

Avs would rather keep Nuke. Jost would be the off man out in the bottom 6

Kreider for the first and Jost? Or looking for Jost elsewhere?

That Detroit is more than realistic, we accept.
