Description
I think this looks decent. Got rid of Gaudreau. That’s gonna upset a few people.
1. Markström signing takes care of the Flames lacklustre G.
2. Pysysk deal gives them a solid bottom pair RD. He’s an Alberta guy so it’s a great fit.
3. Pitlick deal is a great 3rd line RW option. Plus player almost every year even when he played for the Oilers.
4. Lewis deal brings Cup experience.
5. ***Trade Reverted and are-Traded*** GAUDREAU TRADE: Domi. Swap first round picks and get another second.
Let me know what you think.

I really like the pitlick and pysyk ideas but I think the flames fan base would riot in the streets if that Gaudreau trade happened. Gotta get at least one premium asset back for him

If you're going to trade Gaudreau at least get something good in return lmao, what interest do we have in a guy who can't play defense and an overpaid middle six forward? Calgary isn't upset with Gaudeau, it's just a few Flames fans who clearly are only looking at the numbers rather than the play on the ice and an Eric Francis article I couldn't even finish because it was just wrong. He's not untouchable but it'll have to be a massive return. Also, Mangiapane and Markstrom sign for more than that. And just in general, this team is dog**** lol, significantly worse in pretty much every way than this year's team (slightly better in net but worse defensively and much worse offensively).

That’s huge win for buffalo, buffalo gives up two players they want to get rid of because they both have greatly underachieved

The only place Markstrom would sign for 5 is Vancouver he’s going to get 6.5 at the min on the open market.

Ristolainen is a premium asset. There’s a lot of potential there and Flames will see that when he lines up with Giordano.

I think me and you have different definitions of premium

Awful trade for Calgary and it's been widely reported that the Flames looked at Risto a few years ago and the analytics department shut it down. He's not on their acquire list.

His analytics look bad because he’s been playing in Buffalo on a drab team where everyone wants out. The ownership is among the worst in the NHL. So I’m not sure he’s a truly bad player. Treliving has had a history of trading high picks for D. Right? Maybe he goes that route instead.

I think he has premium potential. Flames are not getting a top player back like they hope for JG. What kind of return do you think they should get for JG? From Buffalo or wherever??

That doesn't mean they have to settle for a bad player. They can get a collection of futures.

I don’t think Ristolainen is a bad player. Just on a bad team. Maybe the Sabres should thrown in a second and a third round pick. Maybe.

What if they throw in Middlestadt instead of MJ? More C depth.

Any other undesirable players you want to throw in?
