Calgary says no to that deal IMO - no need to trade him for a sideways move.

I don't know much about Bennett - is he a tough/scrappy guy?

Yeah he is like hyman just doesn't score as much but can fight and throw big hits and go into the dirty areas

I love bennet... but that is a lie. Not close to Hyman. He is physical. He hustles. But no Hyman.

They really shouldn’t. It is far more than his value. I realize how much the organization loves him but this is a massive overpay. One the leafs should never offer.

You do know bennett would fit into the leafs really good right he brings grit and can score plus he would be a 40-50 point guy on the leafs so very close to hyman but the guy fights and throws big hits

Lol - Another day, another example of non-Leaf fans criminally underrating a Leaf player simply because he's a Leaf. Bennett scored the same amount of points as Frederik Gauthier this season for crying out loud and Kerfoot more than doubled his point total. AND this trade comes with a 4th which is generous AND a 2nd AND YOU STILL THINK CALGARY SAYS NO?? My goodness.

No he would not. I live in Calgary and cheer the flames on 80 games a year.

Bennet is not what you think he is. Nothing close to what Hyman does certainly not in the regular season. The stuff Hyman does tremendously diesn’t get him points.

Flames fans love Bennet. The organization really loves him too. I mean his real value is a 3rd at best but it would take an overpay to get them to move him. This trade is ridiculous.

I'm sure they love him and I know as Leaf fans we're no stranger to expecting teams to pay handsomely for mediocre players we love lol. But this is WILD to think Calgary would not take this deal and run, laughable really. I would not want to make this trade with Calgary if I'm the Leafs. Not like Kerfoot is a stud by any means but we're overpaying for a guy who has never scored more than 36 points. Although the Blues got a 1st rounder from Pitt for Ryan Reaves back in 2017 so who tf knows anymore haha

So you obviously know bennett played with lucic and dube who are not that good especially compared to thornton and mikheyev. I am not saying he's as good as hyman but his playing style is very similar. Im sure if bennett played with matthews and marner he would be very close in points with what hyman got

Does he help Flames with scoring though? 1 year ago they were 2nd in the league for GF, they had a bad season this time around. Bennett was moved to center this playoffs for essentially the first time in 4-5 years and he was a beast. I would rather him over Kerfoot 9/10 times every day of the week.
