Description

*Montreal Trade could go to any team* would happen at the deadline of the 2020 season
after Zajacs 1000th NHL game with the devils he is traded to His hometown team to go for the cup
Arizona Takes almost all there pieces back from the Hall trade except Merkley

Devils stay in the nice median between 70 million and cap floor, P.K. Subban's and Cory's contracts expire at the end of the 2021-2022 season so we would have a nice cushion to sign Zacha, Hughes, Boqvist, and Butcher. Also various players on the reserve list or UFA(s)

So ... they sign Zajac just to trade him? Why wouldn't Winnipeg just sign him?
Way too steep for OEL
A 3rd for Wood is too cheap, not to mention he's an effective player for the Devils
