That is yikes for Sharks fans too imo.

When Sharks make playoffs, Couture wakes up like no one and his regular season production is okay matching his cap space.
Burns is the only one that money and age wise could be a little bit of pain in cap space. But imo he still got the chops and can produce up to 60p next 2-3 years, and NEVER gets injured.
Marner is a great player, but I am not sure if production + cap space match after moving him somewhere else. He fits Toronto very well.

So nope from both sides imo.

Edit2:
If we are being realistic, even if Sharks got an offer for Burns that is good, I don't think Burns gets traded as easily as people think.
DW knows his value based on other things than just age, cap space and some defensive breakdowns as d-man.
I dare to say he is face of Sharks, even though we have contenders for that spot.

I agree, it should be a no on both sides. And us Shark fans badly want to see Cooch continue succeeding with a cup in teal. He deserves it. San Jose deserves it.

I do see a bigger window where both teams say yes than one would think at first glance at this team. TOR, for all the reasons you mentioned if they go for short-term success to get them that PO success and many fans' discontent at Marner's contract and his (perceived or not) lack of production relative to his big cap-hit, and SJ if DW decides for a strategy of getting younger while still staying competitive.

Yeah, that is good point of view though Toronto fans are going to crazy over here xD But yeah, I am all for going younger because thats what brings the hope for future.
Thornton and Burns were both 26 when they became Sharks and they made a lot of impact from the start. Hope DW has some great news in near future!
Boughner being the new head coach officially was kinda meh, could work but unlikely makes a big impact.

None of that matters. Both guys are older and their best days are behind them and make more than Marner does. Hard pass.

I disagree that Couture best days are behind him, Burns maybe.

Doesn't mean Couture us dust but he isn't getting better in his 30's. Only declining
