Kucherov is probably getting something more like 7x7. The trade makes sense, but take out Tampa's pick and retain some on Niemi. Also for the trade, the point of getting Honka would be because he is a draft-exempt RHD for next year. Playing him this year and then having to expose him would not be good. But I like it, if Wisniewski shows enough.

Why on Earth would Dallas make that trade? They already have too much money tied up in frequently injured goalies. And giving up Honka is insane. They don't need a Vezina caliber (when healthy) player. If they can dump salary and get league average goaltending they'd be in a much better place. And they'd still have one of their best remaining prospects in house.
