All reports indicate the Blues offered Pietro 7x7.7 mil. I doubt he uproots his family from STL for that small of a jump, especially with him stating he wants to stay. Realistically, you’re looking at him getting 8.5-9 mil if he hits the open market.

If you think so... Rough to say “home town discount” when his wife is born and raised in STL, and has 4 young-ins. Think the only team getting a “discount” is the Blues. Which the talk was 8.25 mil, with the fact they know he could get the 8.5+ open market. As a Blue’s fan, I truly hope your wrong lol. But if he was willing to take 8, I don’t see why/how the Blues don’t offer that if he’s willing to drop that low.
