If no injuries occur, this is how I see it going down.

Take 2

1. 48 (rookie season) (Calder nomination)
2. 73
3. 78
4. 90
5. 97
6. 101
7. 92
8. 100
9. 92
10. 84
11. 87
12. 82
13. 82
14. 85
15. 79
16. 69
17. 71
18. 65
19. 60
20. 59

Grand total of 1594 points!

I think Mcdavid will do the worst out of Mcdavid, Eichel and Matthews, because Buffalo and Toronto are more well built for the near future than Edmonton is, that put with his linemate being Milan Lucic, I just don't think that the chemistry will be there.

Also Mcdavid is 10 times more injury prone than either Eichel or Matthews.

Put all of that on top of the pressure of being the next Sidney Crosby or as some people project him to be the next Wayne Gretzky!

Lol I'm sorry but even with Edmonton's cancerous system, and Toronto and Buffalo's prospects, what makes you think that Toronto and Buffalo are guaranteed better for the future? McDavid finishes with over 1,620 points in my opinion.

Injury prone? Be interesting where some of these top guys are playing in their UFA future....obviously money will be a consideration. And teams can't load up with top UFAs due to cap considerations (Chicago being the exception)
McDavid in Toronto, Matthews in Arizona, Eichel in Boston, by 2023?

Um.........no, as a side note how do you think the Sabres could get Mark Scheifele and/or Nathan MacKinnon?

Zack: IMO.....When a team loses a UFA player (let's imagine Eichel leaves the Sabres in six years), the Sabres should have that $ 8m that they can spend on another star who might want to come to Sabres, like Scheifele as you suggest. If Gretzky can play for 4 NHL teams in his career, no reason to think that the new group of stars won't be playing for mulitiple teams during their careers.
Fans especially seem to worry about losing players to free agency. My thoughts are, don't worry, those are the rules, take that money and spend it wisely on other player(s).

My opinion about Buffalo attracting UFAs. Better city than many....looks like a rising team, good ownership, Eastern Conference, good fans and good city.
I know Buffalo gets some criticism in the USA for being "small", but it bigger than some NFL cities. But players that play and live there seem to enjoy the Buffalo area very much. I've always considered Buffalo a sister city to Toronto.....and I enjoy visiting Western New York very much.
