Description
I think the Rangers will continue to try and progress from this promising season with a fresh new 1st overall pick in Lafreniere to help pair with this roster of promising youngsters and good veterans.

I think the team should bring in a guy like Craig Smith if they believe that Kravtsov won't be ready for the top 9 next year, especially because I don't think Gauthier will be ready for that spot. Smith can replace some of what Jesper Fast did to the Rangers, as he's not returning apparently. Although he doesn't bring the great PK work that Fast does, he is a better goal scorer though having 5 20 goal seasons in his career (6 if the season had finished). I think putting him on a line with a guy like Panarin could allow him to be a darkhorse to score 30 goals.

Hopefully Smith agrees to that trade to Ottawa, the Rangers really need to get out of his contract.

If you think I'm paying Strome too much tell me, I didn't know what to really gauge his value at.

Bringing in Galchenyuk allows the Rangers to take on another reclamation project similar to Strome. A former high draft pick who's fallen after early success in the league, and is bouncing around. He can sign for relatively cheap (if you think I gave too much I can edit), and on a 1 year deal playing alongside Lafreniere and Kakko can be an absolutely deadly 3rd line.

Zibanejad and Panarin will are likely to be dominant again, Fox, Trouba, & DeAngelo will continue to be one of the best rightsides in the NHL. The defence is questionable, but if Staal ever agreed to waive his NMC, then they could get relief.

Wild pass. Andersson won't make the NHL roster for them this year, and he wasn't too keen on being sent down last season for NYR.

So he plays the 1 year in Sweden this year, and comes over in 2022 to crack roster.

I don't think chytil plays fourth line. I would like gulchenyuk but I dont think we have room for him. Move chytil in his spot and pick up a fourth liner like Matt Martin.
Plus... I like the mike rielly addition. hopefully smith waives.

You think? I didn't believe the market would be huge for him.

Even then he'd have a hard time unless MN trades about 3 FWDs. Kaprizov, Fiala, Kunin, Donato, Greenway, Boldy (should be pushing for a spot), JEE are all in the same age range. The there are the old guys like Parise, and Zucc who MN can't get rid of. Strum and Hartman fit somewhere in the bottom-6. I think MN re-signs Foligno too. It doesn't leave much room for Andersson to even get a chance. The only hope for him to make the roster is as a middle-6 center, I'm not sure he is that.

The best thing for him would probably be for Seattle to take him.
