Description

Not sure if Dubas would trade Kapanen for that pick, its still a possibility as he would have to get some cap space anyways. Thought about trading Nylander, but his contract is starting to look pretty good in relation to what he has put up in points, and likely will put up. Plus the Leafs won't get an elite RHD or LHD for him. Some slight adjustments with salaries will put the Leafs at even with the cap. I'd like to see Sandin and Liljegren in the NHL full time. And Joe Thorton will have to shave that horrible beard.

If we got Laf Nylander would be moved for a top 4 RHD, Kapenan would have stayed unless Dubas really felt like that deal was to good

But like I said who for Nylander? it's very likely that the Leafs won't get the same value in return, so why not keep him?

because theoretically in 3 years you have another $10M forward on the books, Rielly will have been re-signed and the cap hell continues.

trade him for anything of market value anywhere needing him.

Sign Brodie or DeMelo in free agency to shore up your 2nd spot RD.
