Steal by the rangers. that's DeAngelo for Hanifin one for one, and then Buchnevich, a struggling young winger who does not produce that much, and a struggling procpect for Monohan. Monohan is worth A LOT more than that.

I think NYI says yes, but not sure how we're fitting Jankowski in.

Hanifin for DeAngelo... I feel that Tony step up and with a 53pts season made him fair one on one I agree...
Monahan is the OilersNuge type of player... very valuable buit never won... great 2C not 1C who can play defensively... after one amazing season he is more a 60pts guy...
getting RW Buch who struggle he is very talented and should get more PP time in CGY.. I could have included Giorgiev with Anderson to offset the difference.
Question: How do you like that CGY roster?

NYI would save 4,5M in there and that what counts.. Jank would take a bottom 6 spot as NYI will still need to shed salary like Bailey as no one would take cap dump

The deangelo hanifin one for one is almost even, it all depends if tony can do that again, as Hanifin has a stronger defensive game, and I am just not a fan of buchnevich. Reminds me of debrusk a bit. I like the d-core for this CGY team, but the forward group is not great IMO. They still need a 1C, and a real right wing.

I am a Habs fan and discuss prior with a Flame fan that state Lindholm should be THE 1C... instead of 1RW... With Buch passes ability, big body great skater... I feel that he will stand out more playing out west.. that's just me

Lias Anderson is worth nothing, hes a bust at this point and has verbally come out and said he wants to be traded - no value.
DeAngelo has had 1 good season, but known to be a problem in the dressing room dating all the way back to his junior days. Don't see him being a good fit.
Monahan > Buchnevich and its not even close.

I do think CGY need to change something and Monahan seems to be the hitman... Then we can trade Gaudreau for a great return... Blue chip prospect + NHL Middle 6 player

Oh for sure, I wouldn't mind bringing him at a cheap price. Worst case is he's not qualified and we got a 3rd round pick for Leddy. I'd like something small added from Calgary though.
