CGY isn't moving Hanfin, since Giordano can't play top pairing minutes every night anymore

RHD or RW. If Calgary were to move Hanifin then it would have to directly address the Flames weaknesses and I think they would look for an overpayment on him because of his contract and ability to slide right in for Gio as the other commenter said here. Would like to see it start with Kase+.

While it is pretty unlikely that the Flames move him, they would be open to it if it meant getting a top line centre, a top 4 RD, or a top 6 RW. The reason I suggested moving him to St. Louis was because he was part of a bigger deal in which Calgary got two of those three list items (Kyrou + Pietrangelo; see my other post).

In terms of the Boston roster, it's tough to see a good fit for a fair return. Carlo or McAvoy would obviously be awesome for us, but I know that there is a less than 0 percent chance you trade either one (and even if there was a chance, Calgary would have to add a massive piece going back). And while Studnicka looks alright, I can't see the Flames trading Hanifin for such an unproven player.

What about Kase a 2nd and Vaak?, I hate giving up on Kase early but if it meant hanifin, I may be open.

I don't think your value is that far off, I just find it so hard to see Calgary trading Hanifin. Gio is going to slide down the depth chart, Valimaki is unproven and after that we have Kylington.

Studnicka definitely not going the other way in a deal for Hanifin. Vaakanainen and/or Bjork sure I could see those two in a package.

You werent getting him with DeBrusk so the title makes bo sense.
