You could just bury Eriksson in the minors with the capspace you've got

Yeah but they will need to free it up anyway because of Pettersson and Hughes next year

True but the price to move Eriksson becomes significantly cheaper at that point

true. I also did it this yr so it could help us bring back Toffoli and signing players to improve the team and that's the only way I could've made this team the way I did. Would you say that's enough to get rid of him tho?

I think it's tough to give term to Dadonov, Gudas and Vatanen like you have. Setting us up for the same problem we've got with Sutter, Beagle and Eriksson in 2 years.

I understand that but I think if they can do this, its a championship level team in my opinion if they can improve from this year.

1) Before I submitted this I looked at the "Long term outlook"thing for the cap space for Pettersson and Hughes after this upcoming year and you'll have plenty of space for the future years (in my opinion.

2) The guys I signed were not to many years and I think I helped the team a lot better with these moves if you look at everything and realize what contracts come of the book etc

First off both teams decline your trades, the Yotes have serious cap issues there moving money out not taking 8 plus mil of cap in, the ducks don’t even return your call for Roussel at 2 mid round picks to take that contract at 2 yrs left
I’ll give u props for leaving the cap room to move Ferland off LTIR first guy I’ve seen do that can’t spend it until it’s confirmed his career is over
It looks like you got a ton of cap next season but if Demko proves he’s a starter is contracts going to start at 4 mil plus and Hugh’s and pettersson to that it could leave you 5mil to sign 7 guys might be tough
But it’s all for not anyways as your cap dump trades don’t work.

the reason there's so much cap space is he's missing the 3 players to fill out the roster to 23. at ~850000 each, call it 1.1 mill cap space

they will need >30 million to sign pettersson, hughes, demko and 7 other players.
