Description

Got rid of one elite sniper for another essentially and upgraded back end. At the cost of some youth but the youth we got back were elite. Essentially I look at it as we gave up 6-7 players for 2. Less roster spots and more talent in one person. Better overall.

Kucherov trade makes sense because they can't sign him and he wants more time in top 6. With this he will.

Trouba wants same thing, but more top 2 pairing time. He will shine with reilly and babcock leading the way.

Anaheim wants to trade Fowler to shed salary, and there's no way Tampa accepts that even for just a 3rd rounder as they need cap space.

Don't you think the Lightning would get better offers for Kucharov than that package from the Leafs? Tampa and Kucherov do have lots of options as an RFA, and this trade wouldn't be one.
Don't you think the Jets would get better offers for Trouba than two years of JVR? Not a way to make friends in Western Canada.

That offer for Kucherov is terrible from a TB pov.

It's fun to make NHL 2017 teams but in the NHL GM's don't make trades that are not fair.

These are not fair at all. JVR for Fowler is a fair trade on paper, but ANA needs cap space.

The TB trade is disgusting. Kucherov is an all star who is approaching super star status. He has been in their top 6. Not sure what's up with the "top 6" comment. You could add your 1st and they still laugh IMO.

I think Trouba is pretty damn overrated while Fowler is considerably underrated.

Right, right. That's why he requested to be traded which could have effected his stats but still. I don't think Trouba is that much better than fowler to be honest. Take a look at how much Fowler gets used against other teams best plays and still puts up solid numbers.
