I somewhat like this, I feel that this is Sandin's year and he should have a shot at playing that 3rd RD slot so saving money there by moving out Dermott could help. Plus I don't think Engvall is good enough to be a 3C at this point (yet) and I think Murray will want a higher dollar amount and more years

I think a 3rd is fair and reasonable for Johnsson considering the cap situation around the league.

Could probably get a mid to late 2nd for Kerfoot or at least another mid round pick.

I have no idea what Murray will get if or when traded but considering the UFA goalie market and other teams needs this seems reasonable.

Highly doubt you'd get a 1st for Andersen.

I feel Andersen relies on two things. Interest and actual salary. He is dirt cheap salary wise and there’s interest. If he comes for an extension I could see him getting one. I think Murray is a solid option because he will have the motivation to prove Pittsburgh wrong and will be in a new scene. If you front load and add some bonuses I think he’d be down

I find Engvall is pretty underrated. He’s probably the cheapest option for a 3C you’ll get and I think he can do it. Sandin I’m not sure in because he got bullied a lot defensively and is more offensive like lehtonen. Dermott has a lot to give I think. Sandin I think also would have to be protected if he plays a full season. I think Murray could bite as he will want to prove Pittsburgh wrong and Toronto can front load and add some bonuses. I think he could come a bit cheaper and be solid

I tried asking this to some Leafs fans before but no one answered.. Lol

What happened to Engvall this season? The games I watched this season he looked pretty good but then apparently his play dropped off, did Clifford bump him down the lineup or something? Idk, small sample size for me so maybe he just looked better then he really is.

He was solid pre contract and was on pace for like 40 points. After that he fell off but come playoffs he looked great again. Put him out and he was zipping everywhere. Highly underrated

yeh i agree, you're right about engvall being underrated i just prefer looking at him as a 3rd line winger who can fill in at C if theres an injury than a legit 3c
