You're running a 20 man roster. That's just not viable. You need to have at least 21 preferably 22 or 23.

You also have Dermott and Mikheyev making really low contracts. If the Leafs want DeMelo, Johnsson probably has to go.

You'll need at least a 22 man lineup. Nobody will consider this realistic otherwise
Spezza is on the 4th either at C or RW, i would play Robertson there too along side one of Maroon or Simmonds on the cheap. Engvall can tandem at C with Spezza, Mikky is on the 3rd with Bararabanov, Hyman is with Matthews and Nylander, Sandin is playing out of camp too.

You do not HAVE to have a 21 man roster- it’s a good idea but the cap will accrue and they can bring someone up on emergency 🚨

A 20 man roster is just not possible. A 21 man roster isn't ideal but it's doable.

You're gonna get all your players claimed off waivers if you keep sending them up and down.

We have many waiver exempt players to move up and down. Trust me... if anyone wanted Marincin Petan it malgin not only would they have been claimed already... they can have them! Leafs make room to add new contracts. Win win.

So you're okay with running a 20 man roster? I think it makes absolutely no sense. If a couple guys get an injury that will last less than 6 weeks you're in a tonne of trouble. Imagine trying to play with only 4 defencemen for a month.

There is a provision in the cba. If leafs were ever only able to ice a 19 man roster to start 1 game they would then be able to use emergency relief to call up any player making 850k or less with no effect on the cap. This provision is allowed to be used indefinitely and has no limit on how many players can be called up.
