That's a lot of money and term to give Holtby who may not even be your starter.

Better off throwing 2-3 years at Khudobin or Greiss in the 4-ish range to serve as a cost friendly backup in case Demko takes the big step forward and ultimately needs to be paid.

If you're going to throw that kind of money at Holtby (who I would imagine will want longer term than 4 years), why not just keep Markstrom who has been more solid, is younger, and is already a known entity in the organization?
