The Coyotes are trying to dump veteran contracts. Not add more.

AZ is trying to save cash. Goligoski and Eriksson would be paid the same real money (4m) with 20% retained by VAN, but Ericksson is paid over 2 years with a cap hit that helps bring ARZ up to the floor for those two seasons. He can play in Hinostroza's spot. Benn is a tradable asset at 1m for 1yr and Benn>Osterle so would be a replacement for less. Jet Woo is a 5-6 dman prospect, maybe Brogan Rafferty works better. And with the Virtanen-Hinostroza swap the other sweetener, they can move Kessel and have Virtanen blossom or help them to the lottery just as well at half the price and half the years. Maybe 2021 3rd also needs to be added. But it's true, my allegiance leaves me biased to a deal helping the Canucks.
