And predators (Ellis and fabbro) and flames (Andersson and Brodie) and stars ( heiskanen and klingberg) and flyers (Myers and Anaheim) and blue jackets (jones and sabers) and islanders (pulock and towed) and Canadians ( Weber and juulsen) and sharks (burns and karlsson) and rangers (Trouba and fox) and kings (doughty and Roy) So 16/31 teams he’s not top 4 on

Giving him the benefit of the doubt over fabbro mayfield oleksiak, petry over juulsen, brodie is a FA so I cant count him, forgot the habs kings, flyers, sharks and jackets

Rather be rebuilding under a guy who just essentially won the tb lightning the cup, then have a burke clone who cares about truculence more then winning. Keep making the playoffs with a core that doesn't get it done. 31! 31! 31!

Regardless without any insults or sarcasm, he is a top 4 and I'm fine with keeping him as our #3 behind seider as our #1. Seider/hronek will be nice in a few years.

Pass from Detroit, I’d love to add Sergachev to our roster but I don’t want to lose Hronek. I’m not sure all the hate Hronek is getting without any explanation except slander.

On detroit, anywhere else he would be on the bottom pairing I’m saying he isn’t top 4 talent
He's a borderline 1st pairing guy (provides offense and plays a physical defensive game) while eating 23-25 minutes a game. He's put up 23 pts in 46 games as a 20 year old and 31 pts in 65 games as a 21 year old. Sorry but that easily projects as top 4 on any team given his age. Yzerman has labeled him as untouchable and if you saw the results of Yzerman's GM building in Tampa I think he knows a thing or two about talent.

If the Wings wanted Sergachev all they have to do is throw an offer sheet that Tampa would be hard pressed to match given they need money for Cirelli and Cernak too. Unlike the author of this thread that believes guys with NTC's in tax advantageous states waive them and leave a Cup winning team for the worst area to play in the NHL and Canadian tax rates in order to solve cap issues.

Wings pass, as good as serg is, we aren't trading hronek

You are severely overvaluing Hronek. Sergachev is already twice the player and Hronek really is not all that great. Tampa would laugh at Yzerman for that trade offer.

1) Sergachev is due for 6 years x 6.5M per Evolving Hockey (while Hronek is still on his ELC for $714,166) and Tampa might not be able to afford Sergachev if none of the guys with NTC/NMC agree to waive them. They certainly can't protect against him signing an offer sheet in that range. Tampa has bad decisions to make. They won't be hockey trades. They will be cap trades.

2)Hronek and Sergachev are rated much closer than you think based on advanced metrics. Not saying Hronek is rated better, but one is rated as borderline 1st pair the other #3 d-man. Neither has found their ceiling yet. But Sergachev's may indeed be higher. Playing on the team he plays for with Hedman, McDonagh, Shattenkirk, and Cernak also lightens his load and covers his weaknesses. In other words it's much easier to play as a 3rd pair d-man or sometimes 2nd pair d-man than a 1st pair d-man. I think you are not taking that into account.

3)I think you are severely undervaluing Hronek...but it doesn't matter as Yzerman has labeled him as untouchable and it was Yzerman that built the Tampa Cup team you say would be laughing about getting an untouchable player.
