Holy sh*t, if you’re a Habs fan, I actually can’t believe I’m seeing a trade for Laine that includes Danault extended + Caufield + D prospect and 1st. This is actually a trade to think about. Good job man

That laine trade is pretty good imo. I’d be hesitant to do that tho if I were Montreal. Caufield is great and another first round pick could be nice in a deep draft. It’s always good to maintain a good prospect pool. I’d try and trade Danault for a player that’s more of his value so your not giving up a ton of assets for one player.

It is arguable... who From Ylonen or Caufield is more appealing... If I am Marc... I would take the risk!

You can't even put Caufield and Ylonen in the same sentence in terms of goal scoring and talent

It is funny because expert was saying that Ylonen will be a pure top RW with all the tool kit... vs Caufield who can be a PP specialist with is devastating shot but with a lower 5 on 5 impact.

Yep! Jets take that and run. But Bergevin will not do that. In an interview in French yesterday he said: "to have a guy like (Laine), you practically have to empty your club. In our case, it would be like taking 2 steps backwards". He'll likely trade Danault knowing his two 1st C are Suzuki and Kotkaniemi. But expect to see Caufield and Norlinder in the Habs lineup in the not-too-distant future.

I'd like to see the expert who said that. Ylonen do not a have one season with more point than KK in the Liiga. And KK was 17 years old Ylonen was 19 last season and he put 22 point while Kk putting 29 point at 17 years old. Ylonen did no progress in points in his 2 seasons in Liiga in fact he had 5 pts less and a differential of -20. Caufield tie scoring for the fresman in his first year at college with a team below the average. He tie an Ovy record while breaking many US developp team records. So I guess u can't compare Ylonen and Caufield

For a guy like Laine who have an average of 35 goals per season at 22 years old. So yes knowing KK and Suz are 1 and et 2C. You can trade Danault. Laine would take the place of Caufield. Like I said Laine is only 22 yrs old at 6foot 5 and 205pounds hes a train. After that yes you gaving a nice prospect in Norlinder but u keep Romanov who can play both side. And the 1st pick thats a no brainer. So you keep a young core because in fact you acquire a 22 years old guy with an average of 35 goals per seasons and you keeping KK Suzuki and Romanov

Tu as raison... Bergevin est trop Chicken pour faire un gros move comme ca... il n aime pas les risque et Laine va demander un salaire de 9M dans 2 ans

En effet mais j’aimerais mieux donner 9M a Laine que 6,5 à Gallagher
