Description
A couple of trades I have seen from other respective teams (Dal,MTL) combined together and a couple trades I think might work for both teams. Ottawa gets cap hit needed to get to the floor while giving up a middle pick that they have. Toronto gets a great budget D in Murphy and low cost on Nylander while taking back 3.5-4 in cap (not necessarily Kerfoot, just using him for cap hit, hence scratched)

Now I hate trading Strome, I think he just had a bad year and he will mature more and take the next step in the coming years.

What do you think?

Every deal is favourably lopsided in Chicago's way.. none of them seem realistic

Strome, Maatta and the pick is not enough just for Lindell.

MTL and Dal trades were suggested by their respective supporters so I just copied them.

Tor Trade probably would need tweeking, but it's not for Kerfoot if you read the explanation, but the 3.5-4 cap hit in return.

Ottawa needs nearly 20 mil just to reach the floor after the Bobby Ryan buyout as reported on the Athletic.

How is this weighted towards the Hawks? Maybe add some detail as to where it's off.

It doesn't matter who suggested the Montreal and Dallas trades, they're still lopsided.

Tatar is far better than Saad and Saad is overpaid. Easy no.

Maatta is one of the slowest d-man in the league and Strome's numbers were inflated by playing with top end talent. He doesn't have the skating of a top 6 centre and he'll want way too much to be a 3C. Easy no.

Sens can sign UFA's to reach the floor. Smith and De Haan are highly overpaid. You'd be lucky to get a 4th or 5th for either of them. Not a 2nd and not a 2nd from a rebuilding team. Even easier no.

Leafs aren't trading a top 15 pick plus a roster forward (I know you said not necessarily Kerfoot, but not Johnsson either) for a #4-5 d-man. Murphy doesn't move the needle for them. That pick can get a far better d-man. Easiest no.

Sorry you don't see it, but it's lopsided in Chicago's favour and no team is taking those deals.
