Just was curious bc it seems a lot of Rangers plans really bank on the avs making this trade, which I don’t think is a realistic move. Not a high priority of the avs at least

why waste your time? islanders probably take all 7 days to match it out of spite, and barzal isn't signing long term for less than 9.5.

Well not really? We kinda took him from Columbus and was he ever NYI's? He's hinted NYR since the prior off-season.

Go for Laine. He's everything the Isles need. heck, I would even love to see it.

They could just 7 years in a flat cap world for the next 2 Maybe 3 seasons with a pending expansion draft isn’t an easy sell., especially with a nmc. If Rangers need to make this move I don’t see then getting off without a little pain and gaining a 1st rounder.

That Blues trade wouldn't work because the 2021 1st would be compensation in the Barzal OS.

Actually that's COL's pick not NYR's. Offer-Sheets only take original picks.
