Teams can only be a certain % over the cap with their bonuses...So with the 8M plus Laf's bonuses, you will need about 6-8M in cap space for this...

Trouba is very overpaid but only barley better than severson but to then add on zacha a top 6 foward and a 5th is way too much

Rangers arent getting rid of Trouba. He's part of the solution not the problem. Get him a partner and he will succeed. His 2nd half of the season was super strong.

I can't see NJ helping NY with their cap in anyway unless it was a seriously lopsided trade in NJs favor ... not the other way around. Trouba's contract is LT problematic
