Heard a rumor that Hall is willing to accept a 1 year 6 mil contract. On top of that, the same agent also represents AA, so maybe he takes a similar deal. Benning can be any similar RHD at that price point. Koivu comes in to fill the need at 3C while also becoming a mentor to Puljujarvi. The Russell deal makes the most sense because Florida is looking to save money and the actual cash left on his contract is low. The pick we get back is flipped with Kassian to Carolina for Mrazek. They get a physical, fast tempo player and are allowed to explore the goalie market while we get a 1A goalie to upgrade our existing goalie tandem.

Leaves us with: A Hart Trophy winner to play with McDavid with defensive insurance in Archibald, the best 2nd line in the league, a 3rd line where AA can drive the play for Puljujarvi with Koivu's guidance, and a grinder line that can chip in on the PP. Defense is the same other than Jones getting full time minutes and Benning potentially replaced by a FA or Bouchard. Mrazek and Koskinen should be a upgrade on the goalie tandem we had last year without changing the system too much.
