3 way Sens-AZ-EDM OEL

Description
Rumor's EDM interested in OEL but they need to send back cap or have AZ retain on OEL and they refuse, also rumor they want to move out Kessel using OEL so a 3 way only way to do it.

Edm gets OEL costs Bouchard 2020 1st and JP, move out russel
AZ get NYI 1st and 2nd and get Bouchard move out OEL and Kessel
OTT get EDM 1st and JP to take on 1 year of russel and 2 of Kessel

This is to see if it can work out, would any changes be needed.

You know, this is pretty impressive. Imaginative and rational. Only complaint I can see is the claim that Ottawa might owe Edmonton a little something.

what would be funny is if OTT buys out kessel, TOR gets hit with a 1.1mill cap hit for next 2 years LOL

I don't understand why the oilers would do this. In your trades it would cost them much less to just get OEL directly from ARI and then still have those other assets to shop in another trade

AZ wants Kessel gone and want to use OEL to get it done, and OEL would cost EDM their 1st in 2020 and Bouchard and maybe more so they pay less to get him if AZ can get rid of Kessel too. Also EDm wants AZ to retain witch they refused to do so.

Yeah I can see this from an ARI and OTT view, but the Oilers are giving up a lot of future for a guy on the downswing of his career who's stats have slowly started dropping the last couple years. Maybe I just don't value OEL as highly as other people do. And now I believe the Oilers have another dman they have to protect in the expansion draft

that is the rumor that EDM wants OEL, look what EK got OTT and he had a history of severe injuries, 14th OA, Bouchard and JP is peanuts compared to that. EDM NEEDS to trade their picks and some prospects for established NHL players not players that will ready in 3+ years.... McDavid is not getting younger, wether OEl is a player they should target, well that is up to the EDM GM.

Why wouldn’t the coyotes just trade OEL to EDM straight up and get that return? They’re not that desperate to get rid of Kessel (besides the fact that Kessel’s contract is untradeable, they don’t want to trade him)

True. But going back to my question. EDM should just trade directly with ARI in your scenario. It would cost them less to acquire OEL
