Habs will accept it if you take Jordan Weal instead of a 5th rounder. Not sure why Oilers would want to get rid of their net presence on PP but he is too rich for that team as a PP specialist with 4th line duty. Weal is more effective bottom 6

As a yotes fan I would keep Oliver , its not worth trading a Top pairing defensemen for below market value , Oliver will bounce back as his 5 on 5 stats production was good this season while his power play number were terrible and for some reason he didnt produce at all on home ice while producing at a 55 point pace on the road and those things are fixable

That’s fair just don’t like the idea of a team with limited cap space adding 8+ million dollar player with huge term in hopes he rediscovers himself from 2-3 years ago. I don’t mean to sound like he’s bad or anything he is very good just 8+ million with term idk I feel he is addressing an area that doesn’t really need addressing but completely limits options on the current needs.

What about going Chychrun more playing time? Maybe a little addition by subtraction. I think Jacob is a much more effective PP point man and I really like his game. What a shot! Getting more underneath that contract is a win I feel.
Yotes should take a 1st round pick and run. Taking a kid like Guhle at 14 would be a better future over OEL IMO
