Description

Give Holtby the same contract that Lehner got

To buffalo they get a better goaltender, we buyout Hutton, either send Thompson or Engvall to the minors and scratch the other one (Split third line minutes with Barabanov). Picks can be given to either team to make the trade work.

Can't qualify Rodrigues cause its too expensive, so let him hit free agency and try to sign him then. If not maybe resign Gauthier or play Engvall or Spezza as the 4th line center. Maroon's going to want a pay raise and term. He's a good locker room guy, very vocal and has a history of cups.

Holtby should not be getting a 5x5. you could probably get him for a couple mil cheaper on a few less years

Holtby was imho actually a top 3 goalie between about 2015-2018.

He then had literally gotten worse three years in a row. I wouldn't sign him longer than 1 year. I have no faith he isn't on an early decline

A plus 13 in buffalo vs minus 7 in Toronto he's at least better than barrie defensively
