Bonino would be the 4th leading scorer on your team

Good players are being dumped for virtually nothing. Switched to a 4th. That’s the best they’ll get and is frankly being generous. Bonino has one year left and is nowhere close to as bad as Staal who got a 2nd.

I can care less, we are rebuilding, this does nothing for us. We are only taking cap dumps if a sweetner is added, per yzerman. Trade him to a playoff team if this is your philosophy, if he's coming to the wings it will take an additional pick or prospect for us to accept him

Trade him to a contender/playoff team if you want this value. If he's coming to the wings it will take a 2nd, just like staal, we aren't accepting cap dumps for free at this time

LOL

You aren’t getting a 2nd for Bonino. No way. He’s nowhere as close to as bad as Staal. Bonino is still a very good bottom six center. Staal is one of the worst overall players in the league. You’d be lucky to get the 4th.. realistically a 5th is fair value but Preds want to clear cap (assuming to add a big name)

That’s insane if you legitimately think that you can get a second lol. Thanks for the laugh

1 hes not a cap dump, hes one of the best 3C's in the game (I wouldnt expect a wings fan to know what a productive NHL bottom 6 forward looks like anyway so its excusable)
2 you're getting paid to take him
3 you'll most likely get a pick as good as or better than that 3rd from another team at the deadline for him

Correct, preds want to dump salary which means you are giving us a 2nd to take the cap dump, I can care less what his value is to you or to other teams, to the red wings it's 4+ million dollars of free cap space in a flat cap and cost cutting year. We will not accept this deal without a 2nd. If you want value for this player then you are free to trade him to a playoff team or a team that is fighting for the playoffs. If you are trading him to the wings and are dead set on it, then it comes with a price.

This is what people don't understand, trade these guys to a playoff team where it makes sense for his value, yzerman is only accepting these types of moves with major picks and prospects coming back, via his interview legit 2 days ago. Go take a listen bud, then you can trade bonino elsewhere or give us a 2nd. As of now this is a decline

I don't know Bonino and a 3rd for Biega and a 7th and it's one season. I know where you are coming from I'm getting sick of teams forcing players on the bottom half of their roster on the us for 2nds and 3rds and acting like they are doing us a favor. This one I do think Detroit is getting the better part of the deal for a season plus never been a big fan of Biega.

Lol if you expect every dump to Detroit to return a 2nd regardless of the player you’re not going to make another trade. Good luck finding any team in the league that will accept that for a player that is actually good. A fourth is not nothing and Bonino is a good player where the Red Wings have zero center depth.

Guess you thought Maatta should’ve got a 2nd today. Embarrassing

No Hawks fans thought the wings were going to give them a 3rd for maata, same idea, we are acquiring picks not trading them.

This is a pass all day from the red wings unless there is a 2nd involved. Trade him to a playoff team my man, wings will not take him at this time. I've heard yzerman, you did not. We aren't in the market for this type of player and won't take cap trades for free

Yes but on Detroit he won't put up the same numbers it is so much harder to score on a bad team.

Dude what are you talking about? Lol

I’m saying that if Maatta was traded to Detroit you would expect a 2nd or 3rd? He was traded for an ECHLer. Not every cap dump will be that high of a pick. Yzerman did NOT say that you’re twisting his words.

We all heard what you said but you like to act like the man himself. He’s talking about bad contracts bad players like Staal. They’re not taking on a liability for less than a 2nd. That’s correct. Bonino is not a liability

He has never said anything of the sort of what you’re saying (all and all caps dumps have to be 2nd or higher). If he somehow holds that opinion which I highly highly doubt since it’s so off base, no one is trading with Detroit. 30 other GMs laughing at that

No he said he's not in the market for these types of players either. He is going to sign a backup goalie and that's it from free agency. The only types of players he is looking to bring it currently are youbg cost controlled players, picks and prospects. He is going to use the cap space as a weapon and we aren't looking to take older vets at this time for free. So we aren't taking bonino unless you add what we want, you can keep his cap hit and contract or trade him to a playoff team, which makes sense. This makes 0 sense from a wings pov. 2nd for bonino or he's staying in nash

I'm not, I heard everything he said. Maybe not every team is operating that way, but the wings sure are. Why didn't we trade for maata then? Just saying it will take sweetners for us to take any contract at this time, unless it's a young guy who will build with us

Nope, but I heard what the said and saw the moves he made and what he's doing in the future. Have fun keeping bonino, he won't be a wing

Every wings fan on the site agrees with me, so it'd 53-2 in our favor
