    nice ideas, well balanced trades, which ever so slightly favour the opponent, and fairly honest signings, which is almost unheard of in Leaf trade proposals.

    I could see FLA doing that.

    However, overall, I'm not seeing a really good team.

    The defense is average at best;
    28 yr old Holl and his 81 NHL games in the top 4?
    3 unknowns/rookies in the 5-7th spots?

    Team defense and system were a problem all last year, as the firewagon offensive system led to lots of 5-4, 6-3, 4-5 games and the Leafs overall took a step back, not qualifying for the playoffs. I'm just not seeing a better team than last year.

    Somehow, I have a feeling that something like this happens, not the big flahsy Dougie Hamiltons, or Colton Parayko, or Aaron Ekblad.....

    This is a realistic scenario, because there isnt a better team, unless they trade one of the big 3, no, not Nylander. Patchwork lineup.....
