The great days when the Leafs drafted size with Räsänen, Goordev, McGregor, Greenway, Middelton and all the other tall guys that actually lacked skill to even play in the AHL.
Also, the rights for russian players actually never expire and the rights for European players remain with the team longer than for north americans. so tell me how this is a bad thing?
Also, when will the CHL start playing again?
Fun fact the guy who drafted those were Lou and Hunter, and so far the success of those guys making the roster has been slim to none.
Dubas has drafted small players with more skill but have so far showed greater success with the majority of his choices making the team
Remember Räsänen had potential but ruined his own development leaving the OHL for the KHL and now he is in Limbo. He is young and is in another League (Liga) if he does not do well there. His chances of making the NHL/heck the AHL are done.
