Peeke is not a guy you want in the top 4 D if you plan to play a decent amount of playoff games, especially with Gavrikov.

Look again. He had the best metrics among RHD on our team this past year. He's ready for top-4 duty, in the event we deal Savard away. And if we're trading Korpi, Murray and Savard, I'd rather it not be all just for futures. And trade Harrington for... anything.

Hall could pick this situation because the jackets can offer the long term deal over a short term one and for a guy with an injury history he may want the financial security with what is expected to be a flat cap for the next couple of years. As for Merzlikins, pickard and Elvis are nothing alike. The comparison is silly based on the fact Elvis is a well decorated goalie in professional leagues and on the world championship stage. He’s also 26. There’s nothing to suggest he will become anything but great with how he played. If they jackets are trying to win the cup, they must change their identity from defense only to scoring some goals. Do the trades fit and work is my question and did the jackets have enough cap space to pull off signing hall. The answer to the latter is yes, I’ll let others determine if the trades make sense.
