downgrade? your right side last year consisted of one of the worst guys in the league, a lefty, and a guy who was on the practice squad a year before. Gudas isn't perfect, but he checks off some boxes and Lehtonen seems to be a stud

How is this a downgrade? Your top pairing defenseman was justin holl on the right side last year. Maroon is worth much more than that, exactly the type of player needed to go far in the playoffs, can play up and down the lineup.
