Description

* cousins underrated season, can fire the puck, stint as a top six LW or play C/LW in bottom six in soft minutes scoring role. replaces ennis who may not recover in time for next season due to leg break

* Jankowski had an unlucky season for the ages and his confidence got crushed. if he recovers his game, then he's a great fourth line centre with some skill and great PK ability

* granlund gives McDavid a very smart, skilled winger. not a guarantee to return to scoring form, so could be an anchor. prevents puljujarvi from playing minutes that are too difficult

* Wennberg may never shoot, but he is extremely good at exiting zone and supporting play. could bounce back as a solid 3C in soft minutes role

* koekkoek ended season strong and had good playoffs. can play both sides. not qualified by Chicago due to flat covid cap

* space for klefbom to return from injury after ~25 games with lagesson going down. Jones shifts to 3RD and Benning to #7

* buyout hits and retention open up 2.65m space at end of season. Neal buyout opens up another 3.8m giving 6.45m for raises to rnh, yamamoto and bear

I reckon Granlund can be had at 4.5ish especially with promise to play beside Connor

If the Janko/Koekk money was spent on Gustafsson/Leivo I'd be more enthusiastic

It'd be a really smart time for them to trade for Georgiev with Koski ageing/UFAing soon

I really like and appreciate that 3rd line and reckon they could gel like the TB 3rd line did

NYR will want to keep Georgiev as per Lundqvist being bought out. tandems becoming the norm like Rask/Halak and Bishop/Khudobin

I'm starting to think I signed Koekkoek for too long as Bromberg will be ready by his third year. I'm assuming Klefbom or Nurse traded at some point
