Anaheim, as we all know, needs to get Lindholm signed. I've seen they are an internal cap team, and with that (unless they can move OTHER salaries out like Stoner or Bieksa) they can't be taking on expensive forwards in exchange for Fowler. Bruins have exactly what they're looking for in Ryan Spooner. He's cheap (900k) and his salary shouldn't make a huge jump after this season, and he's still an RFA. He's a skilled centerman with wing experience. Very good on the PP, and would solidify ANA a lot of different ways. Unless they like their bottom 6 the way it is. I took a look at it, and I sure wouldn't.... But anyway. More or different pieces can go, but with Spooner you're getting a cheap young NHL talent, a high end 2nd rounder and Matt Grzelcyk, who has potential to be a solid bottom pairing defenseman, who can be on the PP. He is on the smaller end, but has good potential. Like I said, other pieces could be worked out, obviously.

Bruins get a much needed defensive piece added. Fowler is in that mold of "perfect compliment" to Chara. This allows Carlo to move down, while staying in the top 4. I think, once again, those two styles (Carlo and Krug) compliment each other perfectly. Also takes some pressure of Brandon, having to play top end talent, seeing he has to do that with Chara. Bruins have internal replacements for Spooner, and if all that fails, they can always look to trade for a bottom 6 forward.

Value wise makes sense but I just don't see Fowler playing the right side. They should be putting all their marbles in getting Trouba from WPG IMO. To me that makes the most sense. He has that Boston swagger that the Bruins used to have when Lucic, Horton and Thomas were still around. Just fits the bill perfectly.

What do the Bruins have that the jets want? The rumor is if the jets take Krug they want a BIG add on.

No idea. All I know is if the Jets don't trade him before the Dec 1st deadline, they'll have diminished his value as a result. That'll be a mistake IMO.

I disagree with that. He will still be the same player after Dec. 1. Jets are a team that has to get equal value for him. Just can't take less.

Teams trading for him will have a negotiating tactic in their arsenal if Trouba doesn't play the year. You can belive it or not but that will diminish his value as teams will exploit that fact. Chevy has every right to ask for full value, the teams trading for Trouba have the right to ask for less then that as a result of Trouba not playing.

That's the only thing. Wasn't a 100% sure if Fowler can play the right side. Saw that the Bruins are actually using Krug tonight on the right side. Not saying they are related (they aren't since this is just my fun ACGM) but if Krug proves he can play the RS, then you slide him up with Chara, and there is a perfect #3 spot on the 2nd pairing next to Carlo (who would slot down) for Fowler.

While Trouba does make sense for the Bruins now, they could very well not need a Trouba in the next 2 years. Carlo looks legit as a top 4 guy. I understand it's early, but he is already NHL ready, and playing like a veteran as a 19 year old. That should only continue to get better. Bruins also have Charlie McAvoy coming up as early as the end of the season (if he decides to forgo his remaining BU/NCAA years), and he has bigger potential than Carlo does. I get they're prospects and there is always a chance that they bust, but I think McAvoy is a good bet to be a solid top 4 guy.

All those guys are penciled in for top 4 capabilities and will probably reach that milieu. Trouba has all the tools of a top pairing dman. He isn't yet. (Simply by definition of the word but he can be very soon)
