So, the last time I made one of these for a team I sub-followed, the Sabres signed Hall a few hours later... maybe this'll jump-start the Flames a bit : P

Anyway, I do feel like a trade is needed here. This is really tight. As much as I like Mangiapagne, I feel like he still needs to prove he can be above a half point per game player. I think another short term deal will have to work for him. If the Flames can manage to find a suitor for Derek Ryan, and then slot Gawdin in on the 4th line (or, pick up a Greg McKegg type 4th line center), I think this will be a lot more comfortable. His buyout price unfortunately doesn't offer many savings. I don't see any upside to trading Hanifin like many other armchairs do.

Overall, the big work is already done. Markstrom should push this team over the hump. Really excited for the Flames this year!

(This also features some remixed lines, since the typical ones get a bit boring to look at after a while haha... I love Backlund, but feel like he's best suited on a third line role. This also helps with some depth down there. Swap Robinson and Dube as needed.)
