The B's need a quality lw and ld. don't know how to fit both under the cap unless Debrusk is moved.

OEL is too pricey even if Arizona retains and having him on the roster will hamstring the B's cap-wise going forward. With Klefbom injured, Nurse is no longer in play and imo, Hanifin is the next best target. Would love to have one of Schmidt, Theodore or Martinez from Vegas as they need a cap dump of their own in order to sign Petro. Such a trade is problematic however as Vegas would not want to add too much re their cap space. Maybe one can be acquired by trading a pick? I dunno


Thought about pursuing Toffoli on the 2nd line - however he is a rw and I feel we are ok on that side. Hoffman is another option on the lw but in this scenario I went with the least expensive option - Dadonov. Hate to lose Debrusk - but what else can be done. In any event, I feel that next year is kind of a 'hold your own' lost year for the B's and the following year, when their is much more significant cap space, is the time for another run.
