Marchand won't be on LTIR since you need 24 days/10 games and assuming the season starts on Jan 1, his return is projected for mid-Jan. Pastrnak only. Not a big fan of playing Vaakanainen on the top pair right now, especially if he isn't ready. Rather move DeBrusk for a top4 LHD if we get Hoffman (I would target Dadonov) but that's me.

Better find a way to move Moore and Ritchie quick.

With pasta and marchand out to start I think you see stud start as the 3rd line center and coyle on the wing in the top 6 instead.

I doubt they get either. As much as everyone is bashing sweeney, I'm happy with the offseason. Smith is a fantastic signing. Also, can't just sign these top 6 talent guys and plug them in because they are good. Their has to be a mutual fit. By doing so, you don't give these young guys a chance to play, and just bury them and ruin their development.
