Description

The Lightning cannot defend against an offer sheet for Cirelli. Everyone that can offer cap relief has a no trade clause. Compensation for a contract in the $4 million range is a 1st & 3rd. Accept the addition of a 4th round pick or else.

The defensive game has been really bad.
Cirelli is a massive upgrade at 3C; Chytil's defense is awful, he will never make it as a Center. Kulikov adds much needed size.

I would have to imagine Tampa would rather give up the 4th and let the NYR offersheet him in order to get the '21 1st instead of the '22 1st.

For 3 x 4 Anthony Cirelli stays in Tampa on an offer sheet it would take about $7m-$8m for Cirelli to sign it in expensive New York and Tampa isn't trading Cirelli for futures only anyways.

Wingsfan58 is usually a clown but this is spot on. Cirelli isnt signing a bridge with NYR that Tampa is probably offering him right now, and Tampa isnt taking that silly package when its less return than an offer sheet, they would want the 2021 1st, not the 22,
