Mikheyev has arb rights and Mangiapane just signed a 2.5M deal for 2 years today. No chance he signs for 1M

He's only got 39 games. Not much of a body of work. 1 year deal and let him prove himself.

I think the Leafs sign Dermott to a 1 yr contract because he would have arbitration rights next yr so they can take advantage of that.
Whatever arbitration Mikheyev gets, my guess around $1.2M, the Leafs can offer a 1 or 2 yr contract. It would make sense for them to sign him for 2yrs because he would become a UFA after a 1yr contract.

Engvall is waiver exempt so he'll likely be in the minors. No need to give him away unless they get something decent in return.
