if Kelfbom retires, WHY THE FOOK would the Bruins trade for him? Even if he doesnt retire, Bs still decline. Debrusk +3rd (maybe even a 2nd) for Klefbom, Kase +2nd is a hefty overpay for a guy the Bruins dont need in Larsson

i was making the best case scenario for the oilers
and since its the oilers
the best case scenario never happens

I just cant see the Bruins (or anyone) trading for a guy whos gonna be out a year. Especially when giving up a top 6 forward and a pick. If he was healthy this year they'd consider it but it just doesnt make sense

Ignoring the point the coilers won multiple lotteries and got the best young player, youre saying the best case scenario for this sad sack of team is to sell another team damaged goods? You realize other teams have medical professionals on their staff too?

lottery wins (4)

how many of those players are still on the roster (2)

and how many lived up to the hype (1)

It doesn't matter how many lived up to the hype. You had the option to pick the best prospect 4 times in this decade alone. Incompetence isn't same as "best case scenario doesn't happen to oilers".

Don't forget you had the 3rd overall, 7th overall, 4th overall, 10th overall, 8th overall besides the 4 1st overall.

You just have to feel bad for those prospects, that get picked by coilers.

Yzerman has preached multiple times he isn’t trading assets for guys that don’t fit our core. This is also horrible for Detroit considering Schmidt just went for a third since no cap was going back while we give a second + prospect for a worse defensemen with no term. You’d also have to compensate the Kraken for taking Neal.
