I feel like people are underestimating both Kane's productivity and age, he's 31 and has plenty of years of PPG gameplay left

In this hypothetical then, throw in Spencer Knight?

Imo, I don't think Florida would do it if they had to throw in more, they are pretty strapped for solid prospects and picks, and they are not really a that much of a top contender that they need a player like Kane to help them push for the Cup.
However, I would accept as chicago if FLA threw in Knight and maybe a 2nd

The key factors are his nmc and cap hit. Even at 7.0 there's a small group that can take him now, add that to how many he's willing to go to and its going to effect the return. I think if they do deal these guys, next year makes more sense.

Yeah, I agree, but I just think that some of these mock trades just don't add up value wise. It would definitely be hard for any team at least right now to take on his contract.

Unless the financial situation changes a lot of teams simply won't have room for these guys. if at the end of the day there's maybe 3 teams that will have room/these guys are willing to go to theres a very good chance the won't get their full value.

The best part of this comment is... Blackhawks fans get to overvalue our homeboys because we were a dynasty ☕️🐸

You want us to retain a 100 point player down to 7M and think we are going to accept that deal? Lol

*were ... teams don't pay players for what they used to be half a decade ago. They pay for what they're gonna do for them. No one is gonna overpay for 2 aging guys on expensive contracts

Ahhh best part is...Kane and Toews got their big contracts then went and won another championship. So they lived up to their contract you ask me. If you’re gonna ride with them while they’re winners you gotta ride with them through the fall from grace. I’ll always be thankful for witnessing a Chicago hockey dynasty in my early 20s.

Kane is still a top player in the league and Toews is a top 15-20 center. Worth every penny especially if there's retention.

... both signed extensions on July 9, 2014 but both extensions didn't start until 2015-2016 which was AFTER the Blackhawks won their last cup. So if you're gonna throw out facts, at least be right about it.
