Trade idea taken from Bnazty96, wanted to see what kind of salary implications this had on the Flyers side and how to shake things out. I don't know that this is realistic, I think for a player like Patrick Kane its certainly going to take more than Hagg and Morin as throw ins, if CHI is moving a franchise piece they're going to need to sell the fans on something more than "maybe Morgan Frost will pan out". Voracek has the extra year on his term, Kane has almost 2.5mil more cap hit. Going to make things a little tight for the Flyers moving forward having to resign Hart, Sanheim and Coots in the next few years

Can’t understand for the life of me how philly fans haven’t figured out that the flyers need to pay to get rid of ghost.

I'd say that problem with this trade is that Philly is including Voracek as value going to Chicago but he doesn't really have any value to us in this situation because he's just as old as Kane and his contract isn't very good so I'd say including Voracek is fine and he's obviously not a cap dump, just wouldn't be contributing to the value going to Chicago so therefore Philly would need to add a bunch

Career Totals: 15 points, 18 points, 21 points. He's primed to be an offensive dynamo! Look out 24 points this season if he keeps trending upwards tears of joy

its like he was on the 3rd dpairing and had no pp time... compare 5v5 points to krug last year... then add in the major boost in ice time he might get with pp1 opportunity. but yes lets look at base stats. how about ghost who had 12 in 42 and was a healthy scratch for most of the year. or 37 in 78 but 14 of that came on the pp...

Who is playing LD in boston if Chara doesn't come back? Grzelcyk and Moore? Doesn't seem like they'd be opposed to adding more depth at that position, especially a guy who with a change of scenery could be just what they need to replace Krug if he rebounds his game even a little bit. He's got a better chance at 40-50 points than Grzelcyk

Exactly, 3rd pair guy, no powerplay time...you're just assuming he's going to get a bigger role and flourish, all I'm saying is Ghost has proven he CAN play that role in the NHL. They're both big question marks. One guy who is unproven, one who is but his game has slipped and needs to get it back

As a bruins fan. I take ghost in a second. Maybe give you a second though to try and retain a little.

grz had one of the highest expected goals/60 last year. ide rather take the risk on a guy in the system whos "unproven" to all but boston fans than take on a guy whos game slipped at 26. we experimented with 2 small guys in the dpairings it didnt work. Either move grz and bring in ghost or keep grz and bring in some size.
