Description

Would be nice if Vanc could find a cheap way to get rid of Sutter, but that isnt likely.
3.5m owed in cash. I have it costing them a 2nd and taking on 1.35m in AHL cash.

This gives Vanc some room at the TDL.

Alternative move, Sutter and a mid pick for Helm and the AHL dumps.
Detroit saves around 500k cash total, and gets a better player. Vancouver pays more money, but gets back a serviceable guy without giving up a top 60 pick.

Add 2.15m in actual cash.

Retain 50% and try and get value for him at the TDL, at $2.1875 a 'decent' third liner should still have some value, likely a mid round pick.

In total, Detroit pays out 2.15m in cash, and gets 2/3rd of a year of a decent 3rd liner, a late 2nd round pick in 2021 and a 4/5th round pick in 2021

I thought you killed Eriksson for a minute and then I see him on your first line. That’s probably appropriate value to take on Sutter depending on if we can make room for him since we have a ton of bottom six guys currently.

I'd probably take Sutter for a 2nd. We'd have to trade one of our bottom 6 guys to create room for him but the value is fine.
